- About the 2014 FLASH100 -

The Masters Flash100 at the San Diego State Aztec Track and Field Invitational is looking to be one of the premiere events on the USA Track and Field (USATF) Masters schedule. Taking elite masters sprinting to the next level the FLASH100 seeks to gather the worlds top 9 age group sprinters 40+ and raise the stakes of competition by providing a sizable monetary incentive. By providing a professional level atmosphere which rivals that of top level overseas meets, we hope to bring the rivalry and competitive nature of masters sprinting to the forefront and create an electric atmosphere conducive for record setting.

"The FLASH100 is currently looking for community sponsors to partner with San Diego State University in hosting this event. "

Former Olympian Chritopher Williams (JAMAICA)
confirms for FLASH100
In case you thought that all Olympians fade into the shadows, think again. Former Jamaican sprint star and 3 time Olympian  Chris Williams has confirmed his intent to compete in the FLASH100 in March.

An accomplished sprinter Williams has earned a medal  in almost every major international Athletics competition including a silver medal in the 200m at the 2001 IAAF  World Championships and a Bronze Medal in the 4x400m at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sidney, Australia.

For Williams old sprint habits die hard, recently making a re-emergence at the 2012 USATF Masters National Championships Williams obliterated the competition on his way to victory in the 100m and 200m. Though Williams has yet to line up against international competition in a World Masters Championship the FLASH100 will certainly be a preview of things to come.
